Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau (L, D)
Start our day with a visit to the Ethnology Museum in Hanoi. This museum offers stunning look into the culture & daily life of 54 minorities group of people living in Vietnam. Explore the amazing indoor and outdoor exhibition of this museum before making our way to Mai Chau. This valley offers a splendid vista of a valley surrounded by lush landscape and stilt houses inhabited mainly by the White Thai ethnic group. Upon arrival, you will be welcome by our host family with some green tea. Afterward, we will start with the orientation walk to the nearby Thai villages before returning to our home for some cold drinks and diner. Overnight in the traditional house built on stilt.
Day 2: Mai Chau – Walking & Biking (B, L)
Today, our full day tour will give you time to enjoy this incredible and unspoiled valley of Maichau on our bike from Lac village. We will cycle along the small village road to Van Mai, Cum, Long villages to see the daily lives of the white Thai people such as rice planting, herding water buffalos and building traditional houses. Stop along the way for taking pictures or visit some local families for a taste of Vietnamese rice wine. Later this afternoon, spend time to walk around Na Phon, Nhot and Nathia villages. Tonight you will be entertained by a traditional dance perFormance by the local Thai tribe.
Day 3: Mai Chau-Hanoi (B,L)
After breakfast this morning with some coffee or tea, we will take a leisurely walk around Lac and Poomkong villages to see how people making their beautiful handicrafts and traditional souvenirs. Enjoy your lunch in the house before we say good bye to our host family and drive back to Hanoi where your trip ends.
